BU BUZZ
This just in:
The creative writing program at Boston University now offers an MFA in creative writing. Previously the intensive one-year program culminated in an MA. The MFA degree is terminal and the necessary credential to teach creative writing at the college level (with of course, several solid publications).
This is very exciting news for me, as I have been worried whether or not I'd need to go back to school, perhaps to U. Southern Maine, to get the MFA degree. So, less school for more degree, and afterwards I'm free to get on back down south where the weather and housing markets are more suitable to my sensibilities.
